Meet Cyrile – Founder of MaryJane & Paint
MaryJane & Paint was born from one high thought and a lifetime of bringing people together. I’ve been hosting workshops for years and smoking weed for even longer and one day I realized: there’s a whole experience missing in the cannabis space. Sure, puff & paints exist, but nothing felt like me. I didn’t want basic. I didn’t want boring. I wanted to create something loud, fun, raw, and unforgettable and that’s how MaryJane & Paint lit up.
Every class is built from my own creativity (and let’s be honest, a few very high brainstorming sessions). The wild art ideas, the atmosphere, the station setups, all of it came from getting lifted and dreaming up what a perfect night would look like: new friends, real connection, creativity, and good smoke.
But this wasn’t new for me. I’ve been a Zumba instructor for over 15 years, and I’ve taken over 5,000 people to the Caribbean for fitness retreats. Building community is in my DNA. Before this, I promoted music festivals, ran my store called SHOPGIRL for 5 years, organized events, and lived in the party scene. That spirit never left, it just evolved into something deeper. I am also the Director of Social Rhino Media Inc. , World Travel Fitness, WinnipegZumba.com, Founder of The Osborne Village Market, Co-Owner of Barks & Recreation and absolutely honored to be part of the Strictly House Entertainment Group & Sound Republic since 2004.
Now, MaryJane & Paint is in multiple cities across Canada. We launched in August 2024 with one class and have grown into a nationwide movement. We've added dab stations, spin to wins, multi-colour fire pitts, giveaways, custom artwork, blacklight nights, and full-blown party vibes to what was once “just” a "Paint Nite".
But let’s get one thing straight: This isn’t your average paint-and-sip.

Here? We paint MaryJane. We create stoner pop art, blazed-out masterpieces, and themed works that reflect the cannabis lifestyle. And people are obsessed.
Our artists are everything to me. They’re not hobbyists. They’re real creatives who bring their soul to every canvas. The art we offer is one-of-a-kind, and our classes are unlike anything else out there. The artists are the foundation of this movement, and I’m grateful for every brushstroke they bring to life.
I’m not a cannabis advocate, influencer, or expert. I just love smoking weed, slanged dime bags in my teenage years, make new friends, and watch people let loose and be themselves in a creative space. My spare time goes to my son, my two dogs, and the range.
